About YumYumEats

YumYumEats is a South African marketplace for home cooks, home bakers and the occasional professional chef. We start in Cape Town.

Great food is already being made in neighbourhood kitchens: birthday cakes, Sunday roasts, curries, koeksisters. We make it easy to find those cooks on a map (postal codes do not help much in South Africa), order ahead, and collect close to home, at home-kitchen prices.

Cooks are independent. We verify identity and address, ask every cook to commit to food safety rules, and show badges for extra credentials such as a Certificate of Acceptability.
